My Dad is extremely bright. He excelled in seminary, is very well read, is a gifted writer, and strives to keep learning. That said, in terms of certain modern advancements, he is not on board.
- He asked his friend Felix to look something up online for him. Felix did and printed out the information. While chatting with my Mom, my Dad mentioned the info and wanted my Mom to see it as well. He lamented, “Felix printed it off and was supposed to bring it to me last night but we didn’t meet and now I guess there’s no way he can put it back on the computer to send to you.”
- In the last few weeks, my Dad has gotten several calls from Blockbuster about a late fee. He doesn’t have a Blockbuster card and has never even rented a movie from them. Irritated, he called the store and said, “I am not a member of your organization and quite honestly if this is the way you do business I would never join.”
