I naturally woke up this morning at 6 a.m. What the hell??? During the work week, it’s all I can do to drag my heiny out of bed before noon but on the one weekend when I can sleep in…no dice. Hmph.

I tried to rest for another hour or two but met only fitful sleep so I begrudgingly got up, wrangled my ‘fro into a bun, threw on some jeans, and headed to campus to finish a few work projects. Naturally when I got to the building all the main doors were locked. Apparently this joint doesn’t open until 11 a.m. When I peered in the windows, I saw a few lone souls on the far end of a long hall. Using some hand gestures and arm flailing that could’ve been interpreted as obscene I finally got their attention. They used a scary Hoosier variant of ASL to communicate to me to get my arse over to a side door of the building. Once there, a nice fella let me in. The group I teach for at IU has several classrooms, one of which I planned to work in, but unfortunately I can’t get to it yet because it’s blocked by a gate until 11 a.m. Sulking, I shuffled into a nearby computer lab to download porn and blog in the meantime.

This weekend I was supposed to go camping with Lean and one of her brothers (the one who wears a lightening bolt earring!) He has a proper camper and everything. The last time I was in one was the summer before my senior year of high school. A friend had an old, delapadated camper on a lake where we spent nearly every night swimming (sometimes skinny dipping) and drinking (sometimes alcohol.) It was a VERY fun summer…but I digress. Lean’s brother’s camper is at a campground near the Salamonie Reservoir. I’ve never been there (but the brochure looks nice – heh) but am always amped to be near water. Don Kramer scared me a bit when he told me there are lots of murders in the area. I think he was just jealous because the camper was gonna be a-rockin’! But since I had such a crazy week, I didn’t get everything accomplished I needed to including tying up loose ends on two work projects and laundry. (Oh yeah, I’ve been commando for the last few days.) If the reservoir were closer, I could’ve dropped by for a few hours but since it’s more than an hour away, I couldn’t swing it. Hopefully I can go with them later in the summer.

It’s almost time for me to be granted access to my true and rightful home. Peace out!

P.S. You’ll be happy to know I finished most of my laundry yesterday afternoon.

P.P.S. Isn’t this paper collection adorable?

I love the chipboard letters from that site! Gave me some ideas to do my own. I’m crazy about paper as I am about fabric. =(

“download porn…”? wow, that was being brutally honest, hahaha
