Subject: College Kids Lose Their Pants.. Literally.
I wanted to quickly tell you about an upcoming event I know Indianapolis residents would love to participate in. The Butler University Public Relations Student Society of America (BU PRSSA) is hosting a denim drive to benefit the Cotton. From Blue to Green™ campaign for Habitat for Humanity. Since cotton is a renewable, recyclable fiber, it can be converted to Ultra Touch™ natural cotton fiber insulation, used to rebuild communities in need.
On Saturday, September 19th from 11am to 11pm, Noodles in Company in Broad Ripple has agreed to give away one free meal to each person that donates a pair of jeans for the CFB2G campaign. All jeans are then converted into natural fiber insulation used to rebuild homes across the nation. With the donation of just one pair of jeans, the Indianapolis community is aiding in providing a shelter to those in need.
In 2006 alone, students collected 14,566 pieces of denim which produced enough insulation to help build 12 homes for families displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Currently, over 40,00 pieces of denim have been collected across numerous Universities. Please help us as we support Butler University PRSSA and CFB2G campaign and help them exceed their goal.
This event is kicking off a month-long fundraiser with another huge event taking place outside City Market in early October. Any interest in sharing this unique story with your readers and helping this wonderful cause?
